Javier is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has been playing guitar since he was 12. Born in Peru, his biggest influences were the alternative rock from the 80s and 90s, and the "trova" music so popular in South America.
Later he moves to Italy where he polished his piano skills. The vibrant Bologna sees his first performances in Europe.
Motivated by its vibrant music scene, he moves to Ireland where he joins a songwriting programme at BIMM which also connects him with local bands like Darwin's Daughter and NIMF with whom he collaborates as guitarist and drummer.
In 2017, he jumps to the Dublin scenarios as a solo artist and releases his first single, Talking Dogs, a dreamy indie song about goodbyes.
Since then, Javier has continued to shape his sound and carve a space for himself in the Dublin scene, having performed with his power trio band in legendary venues like Sin É, The Workman's Club and Fibber Magees.
His music can be described as rich in harmonies, with delicate atmospheric guitar chords, and lyrics that invite us to a journey of emotions and make us reflect on everyday life.
In 2021, with the help of Dublin producer and BIMM tutor, Tully Gun, he released his single "No Sorrow", a punchy introspective song about resilience and hope. He recently won a contest by UK production house PresentDayProduction to have his song "All My Life" produced by Sam Reck with support of top UK musicians, which will be released in 2022.

This song talks about how life is a journey full of uncertain jumps, of ups and downs. A difficult, yet awesome journey and (most times) ends up in great things. We tend to think that it is us controlling everything but this song reminds us that we are just like fish in a current, life goes on in its crazy ways and we're along for the ride. We just have to enjoy it!
The concept, and even some lines from this song were inspired by Hopscotch, a novel by Julio Cortázar, one of my favorite writers (if you have not read it, you should definitely check it out!).
I wrote this song as a goodbye note for a friend who was moving abroad. It talks about letting go of dreams and face reality, "grow up" and "do the right thing" (what society expects from us).
The narrator in this song sees how his friend is changing, while he stays the same, and the gap between them widens. He wants his friends to be fine, even gives them advice, but knows that this will make them grow apart.
